Rudbeckia bicolor a long-day plant was treated with the growth retardants Phosfon-D and CCC in
order to inhibit flowering by blocking the gibberellin synthesis. Endogenous gibberellin activity was
tested in growth-retardant-treated plants, none gibherellin-like activity was detected in those plants.
Treatments of CCC and Phcsfon at the same time, inhibit flowering completly.
