Resumen en Inglés:
The Leaching Requirement (LR) formula proposed by tbe United State Salinity Laboratory (USSL) assumes that for a given soil layer the drainage water and the saturation extract possess equivalent saline concentrations. 'Theorical considerations make it doubtfull such an equivalence and to make it clear the convenience or not of modifying tbe USSL's LR formula, experiments in green house conditions were carried out.
Sudangrass as grown in containers and snbrnit.ted to different LR régimes.
Volumes, satine cornposition and electric conductivity of the irrigation and drainage waters were controlled and the yields of two cutings of tho Snudangras obtaneid.

It was concluded that the factors Ws and f' must be introduced into tl e
LR formula of the USSL and,
couseqnently, the final equation proposed is read as follows:
CEr Wfs 1 Wfs
RL < 0E@'Ws'p' where ws
represeuts the relation between the field capacity and the saturation capacity of the soil, and where "f" is the efficiency with which the lixiviation is carried out. This efticiency is expressed by the ratio between the LR vale determined as the volume relations between irrigatio and drainage water, and the LR resulting from the quotient between the saline concentration of the irrigation water and that of the drainage water.
